Over the course of one afternoon and one day, participants will have the opportunity to:
- identify special factors to consider in designing a course that fosters significant student learning
- articulate a vision for multi-dimensional, significant learning
- apply the Taxonomy of Significant Learning in designing courses, and
- develop course-level learning outcomes, activities and assessments that directly connect to important learning goals.
Designing Courses for Significant Learning will be held at the Bryant Conference Center Thursday, Jan. 19, from 3–5 p.m. and Friday, Jan 20, from 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
