The Crimson Standard will transform almost every one of our Athletics facilities to cultivate environments of excellence necessary for continued recruitment and training of the best student-athletes in the country. Phase I of The Crimson Standard was completed in the Fall of 2020, bringing with it the joy and pride of our women’s softball team as they toured the newly renovated Rhoads Stadium and our football team upon first entering their new locker room. Additionally, the expansion of the Mal M. Moore Athletic Facility and creation of the Sports Science Center incorporates the latest in sports science technology to provide our more than 600 student-athletes with the best available medical care.
As the Crimson Standard continues, a new 258,000 square foot competition arena will be constructed to host Alabama men’s and women’s basketball home games and gymnastics home meets, and a nine-hole golf course, driving range, short game practice area and golf house will become the new home of The University of Alabama’s championship-winning men’s and women’s golf programs.

This capital initiative reaches beyond the field and into the classroom, emphasizing the Crimson Tide Scholarship Fund and scholarship endowment. Support for this pillar of The Rising Tide Capital Campaign allows our student-athletes to lead not only in their sports, but also in their fields of study.
